Telarc Records Liner Notes

Robert Derwae of D+A researched and wrote the liner notes (annotations) for several Cinncinati Pops Orchestra recordings released by Telarc Records. Many of these recordings (see CD covers below) received favorable reviews. For example, reviewer James Miller wrote about "Fiesta" in Fanfare magazine: "Happily, most of the arrangements are clever without being too-clever-by-half and Kunzel and his forces deliver them energetically and (need I add) with brilliant engineering support. Believe it or not, the annotations are great."

A reviewer in The American Record Guide said of "Fiesta": "Since the Cincinnati Pops is up to standard, Telarc's reproduction is suitably imposing, the timing generous, and the annotations unusally interesting and thorough for a release of this sort, what more could be desired?"
