Robert
Derwae — Proposal Manager and Editorial Director.
Robert's background includes stints with two money-center
banks, where he developed new business proposals and sold
pension investment management services to Fortune 500 companies.
He has also served as a regular columnist for the Cleveland
Plain Dealer, written for various regional and national
magazines, and managed and/or edited proposals for dozens
of corporate and government clients.
Richard
Ziegfeld, Ph.D. —
Consulting Editor and facilitator. Richard has written or
edited several books, including The
Ziegfeld Touch: The Life and Times of Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr.
As a tenured English professor, he taught composition and
rhetoric to hundreds of students. After retiring from academia,
he worked for aerospace/aeronautics companies, where he facilitated,
wrote, and edited hundreds of proposals.
Andrew
Human, Ph.D. — Senior writer/editor. Andrew is
a seasoned editor with a Master of Science in Engineering
(Metallurgy & Materials Engineering) from Witwatersrand
University, South Africa and a Ph.D. (Materials Science) from
Darmstadt University, Germany. In addition to his creative
abilities, Andrew is knowledgable in the areas of research
and development, start-ups, and business management. He has
worked on projects for Pepsi, Audi, and Harley-Davidson, among
others.
Birgitte
Rasine — Senior writer/editor. Birgitte has edited
scores of scientific and technical market research reports
in such fields as energy (solar, wind, hydrogen, and fuel
cells); nanotechnology; telecom; pharmaceuticals; healthcare
and biotech; and food and beverage. She has also written or
edited articles and press releases on such topics as Internet
communications technologies, meta data warehousing, and imaging
technologies (e.g., high-definition cameras). Birgitte is
also the principal of LUCITA,
a socially responsible media content, communications, and
consultancy company.
Siobhan
La Piana, Ph.D. — Writer/editor and translator
(French and German). Siobhan received her Ph.D. in comparative
literature from the University of Michigan and studied at
the Sorbonne in Paris. In addition to her efforts on behalf
of D+A, she also serves as an adjunct professor at Oberlin
College in Ohio.
Sally
Foster — Graphics Director. Sally is a graduate
of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She
has
served as a photo editor at various New York-based magazines,
most recently People Magazine.
