Who We Are
Derwae + Associates is a business communications
agency, offering writing, editing, design and web site
development
services to companies and institutions of all sizes. We
specialize in helping our customers develop new business
proposals,
grants,
and
corporate
capability
material. We have offices
in Cleveland and New York.
There are three aspects of D+A that set us
apart. First, everything we do is driven by a sales impulse
because we recognize that successful communication is based
on the art of persuasion. Our goal is to "sell the
story" in a way that's clear, concise and compelling.
The salesmanship may be subtle, but it's always there. We
will leverage our expertise and your assets to
creatively sell your vision.
Secondly, our associates have worked previously
in such fields as institutional financial services; manufacturing;
engineering; sales; marketing; government; academia; not-for-profit;
publishing; science and technology; and conference development
and management. Many of them have run their own businesses,
so they bring an entrepreneurial "can-do" attitude
to their work. And our clients
come from a variety of industries. This means we will spend
less time becoming familiar with your industry and more
time enhancing your business communications.
The third aspect of D+A that sets us apart
is the level of education and depth of experience of our
associates. They are well-educated (as can be seen
on the D+A Team
page) but, more importantly, they bring decades
of experience and "lessons learned" to
their work. For example,
our Editorial
Director has more than 20 years experience in the field
and our Graphics Director (at 32, the youngest
director) has more than a decade of experience. The payoff
